| Some reviews of Kite Hawker have mentioned our music had a sort of tropical atmosphere. This may be due in part to my obsession with fruit trees. Since buying my own little piece of land in coastal South Carolina, I've been able to live out my dream of having a little orchard. Jackie just bought me an early Christmas present in the form of a Pomegranate tree. What an interesting fruit it has, like opening up a beehive and finding cranberry colored kernels inside. Thus far, the orchard consists of 2 meyers lemons, 1 ambersweet orange, 1 valencia orange, 2 bears seedless limes, 2 mangoes, 1 pear, 1 fig, and two banana plants. I'd love to add a sapote, jackfruit, and canistel, but I'd need to move to Florida. - December 3, 2006 |
